Announcements:

Ongoing Confirmation Conversations: See the weekly service bulletin for dates, times, and topics. The Confirmation class is open to anyone in the parish. And please continue to pray for our Confirmands, Jeanne and Katy.

Rally Day, Sunday, September 12: Mark your calendars! Invite your family, friends, and neighbors! Sunday School K-6 resumes 8:45 - 9:30 am; potluck luncheon follows Mass--bring a dish to share; wear your St. Christopher's shirt for our group photo on the lawn.

Parables of Jesus, 2010-2011 Sunday School Theme: All children, Kindergarten through 6th grade, are welcome in our Sunday School, where this year we'll focus on Jesus' parables. Some new and different features will include: An updated classroom space, more interactive story telling, hands-on activities, long-term projects, mission outreach, and emphasis on "memory verses"--with a prize at year's end for whoever remembers the most Scripture!

Weekly Adult Bible Study Resumes Tuesday, September 14: At 6:00 p.m., at the Rector's home. Large-print NIV Bibles are available. Bring your Book of Common Prayer. We begin with a simple meal, followed by worship, and Bible study and discussion. This fall, we begin by digging into the Book of James.

Vestry Business: Fall retreat for prayer and discernment regarding the vision and direction of our church, Friday / Saturday, September 17-18 at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center. ALL Wardens and Vestry members are required to participate, at least on Saturday. Regular Vestry meeting Sunday, September 19 (changed due to Rally Day).
